Formó parte de la villa de San Miguelito, data de 1676, bajo el cuidado de los franciscanos. Para 1701 ya existía una capilla y para 1797 la plaza. La actual iglesia ya se había empezado en 1800, y la torre se construyo hacia 1875. En el altar mayor tiene una escultura de San Juan Evangelista.

It dates from 1676 and was part of San Miguelito village, under the franciscan monks protection. By 1701 it counted with a chapel and by 1797 it also had a square.  Construction of the present church had already started by 1800, but the tower was built until 1875.  Its main altar has a sculpture dedicated to St. John the evangelist.

Its patron saints’ feasts are celebrated during December.
