La colocación de la primera piedra para su construcción fue en 1772 y se terminó de construir en 1800. Convertido en cuartel durante la intervención francesa, fue rescatado y restaurado en 1871. La imagen de la Virgen de Guadalupe data de 1838. La parte trasera de la construcción aprovecha los muros de piedra de la ermita dedicada a la advocación mariana desde 1656.

Its construction started in 1772 and was finished in 1800.  Used as barracks during the french intervention, it was rescued and restored in 1871.  The image of Our Lady of Guadalupe dates from 1838.  The back end of the construction incorporated the stone walls belonging to the ancient shrine devoted to the Virgin since 1656.
