Este museo está ubicado en la casa que habitara anteriormente uno de los personajes ilustres más importantes de San Luis Potosí del siglo XIX,  llamado por sus obras “El cantor de la naturaleza”.  En esta casa nació en 1858  el poeta Manuel José Othón.  Se guardan aquí algunos manuscritos y objetos que le pertenecieron y los muebles son de la época en que vivió, aunque no pertenecieron a la familia.

This museum is the former house of one of our most important celebrities in San Luis Potosí. Poet Manuel José Othón, known as the “songster of nature”, was born here in 1858.  Some of his manuscripts and belongings are kept here.  The furniture belongs to this time period, but did not belong to the Othón family.
