Se ubica a 15 km de la ciudad de San Luis Potosí, en ella se encuentra una de las haciendas mas antiguas del estado con una casa muy bonita, aunque modificada con una arquería al frente y una nueva capilla. Adyacentes a la misma se encuentran la capilla, la fabrica de mezcal y las trojes. En ella reunió Calleja a las tropas para salir a batir a Hidalgo.

Located 15 minutes away from San Luis Potosí, La Pila has one of the oldest manors of the state.  It preserves the beautiful house, even though it has been added a new archery and a chapel.  To its side we can find the old chapel, the mezcal factory (an eau-de-vie made out of a local agave) and the warehouses.  Here, military Félix María Calleja gathered his troops to fight Miguel Hidalgo during the Independence war.
