Se cincela la cantera rosa y gris  con las que se elaboran  piezas ornamentales como: figuras, fuentes, imágenes religiosas, macetas, cornisas, columnas, fachadas pisos. El tipo de cantera es la que determina en lo que habrá de trabajarse. Las hay  rosa, durazno, anaranjada, verde, melada, gris, café, apastillada, diamantina, y la mantequilla. Son estos trabajadores los que le dan forma a la figura que se desea, ya sea a base de cincel y martillo o con maquinaria para hacer cortes, pulir y tornear;   y La colocación. En la cual los artesanos se encargan de  ajustar y colocar las piezas en la obra desarrollando un fino trabajo.
